HECKFORD INTERIORS EST 2009
Heckford Interiors was established in 2009 in the UK by Leeann and husband Mark.
After gaining qualifications in sewing traditional hand-crafted curtains, roman blinds and cushions, Leeann started a small manufacturing company and named it Heckford Interiors. The name came about as the business was based from Leeann’s home … Heckford House.
The business grew steadily with the introduction of some fine fabrics and trimmings, and it wasn’t long before other window solutions were gradually introduced.
Heckford Interiors now supply and install all types of blinds, including motorised products and the ever-popular plantation shutters.
Despite the growth and expansion of the business, many of their window treatments and soft furnishings are still hand-crafted in-house by Leeann herself.
During busy periods Heckford employ an amazing manufacturer to assist with any overflow of work.
RELOCATING & UPHOLSTERING
The re-establishment of the business in New Zealand has been a dream for Leeann whilst sourcing some truly beautiful fabrics, trimmings, blinds and shutters to offer her new clients.
Since relocating Leeann’s flair for design and love of fabrics has led to her completion of an Interior Design Diploma and she has recently further extended her skills by learning the art of upholstery.
Whilst continuing to refine her upholstery skills, Leeann has brought together a network of amazing upholsterers to call upon and is now pleased to be able to offer this service to her clients.
MEASURING & INSTALLING
Whilst in the UK, Leeann’s hubby Mark was in charge of measuring and intalling all of Heckford Interior’s products. Since moving to New Zealand, Mark has passed on his expertise to son Frank.
Frank has been working closely with Bay Blinds and Santa Fe Shutters to further enhance his skills and bring this knowledge into the family business.
